Garrett Ushiyama

Area of Focus
Garrett Ushiyama is a Partner of the Firm’s Audit and Assurance Services Group. He has 20 years of audit and advisory experience serving publicly held and private companies, many with international operations in Europe and Asia.

Business Experience
Mr. Ushiyama’s industry exposure includes manufacturing and distribution, technology, e-commerce, real estate management, construction and entertainment. In addition, Mr. Ushiyama has served in interim controller and CFO roles for several companies in various industries, and has experience providing advisory services in mergers and acquisitions and financial due diligence, litigation support, financial restructurings and bankruptcies.

Prior to joining Squar Milner, Mr. Ushiyama was a member of the assurance group at Grant Thornton LLP for many years and also has other varied experience as an independent consultant, and as a manager in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Ernst & Young LLP. Mr. Ushiyama began his career as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand where he served for three years. Mr. Ushiyama is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Public Accountants.
